Higher R value insulation and Low-E glass, as well as energy-efficient rooftop air handlers and boiler package reduces building energy use by a minimum of 20%. Water-efficient restroom fixtures will lessen the burden on municipal water supply by approximately 40%. HVAC delivered via underfloor air distribution system provides individual area thermal control. Low-VOC materials used for all adhesives, sealants, paints, coatings, carpet and composite wood used in the building. Native, drought-tolerant plant species, along with efficient irrigation heads and weather station, will reduce irrigation water use by 50%. Preferred parking spaces and charging stations for electric vehicles to promote the use of fuel-efficient vehicles.
