• Workers will be properly trained in the use of respirators, and a high standard of supervision, inspection, and maintenance will be followed.

Protective clothing Our company will provide workers in a restricted area with protective clothing that protects other clothing worn by the worker from silica contamination, ensure that workers' street clothing is not contaminated by silica, and ensure that a worker does not leave a restricted area until the worker has been decontaminated. Health monitoring Exposures to airborne concentrations of Silica must be kept below the permissible exposure limits shown in 29 CFR 1910.1000 Table Z-3. https://www.osha.gov/laws-regs/regulations/standardnumber/1910/1910.1000TABLEZ3 Full shift personal samples shall be representative of the employees regular, daily exposure tosilica.

Documentation Records must be kept of the following: • All workers who are exposed to respirable silica dust while on the job • Worker education and training sessions • Respirator fit-testing • Equipment maintenance and repair • Worksite inspections

The exposure control plan must be reviewed at least annually and updated as necessary by the employer, in consultation with the workplace health and safety committee or the worker health and safety representative.

Medical Surveillance Merritt will notify employee who will be required to be enrolled in medical surveillance.

These employees will be the ones who equal to or exceeds the action level for 30 or more days per year. Medical surveillance is provided at no cost to the employee. All medical testing related to medical surveillance will be conducted by a physician, or other licensed health care professional, at a reasonable time and place for the employee. Medical testing may include: • Comprehensive history of medical and work history, with an emphasis on the past, present, and anticipated exposure to respirable crystalline silica, dust, and other agents that affect the respiratory system; any history of respiratory system dysfunctions, including signs and symptoms of respiratory disease. • Physical Examination with a special emphasis on the respiratory system. These examinations will be conducted at initial hiring and every three years.
