General Requirements: • These guidelines apply to the following earthmoving equipment but are not limited to; scrapers, loaders, wheel tractors, bulldozers, graders or anything similar. • Operable seatbelts will be provided unless equipment is designated for stand-up operation or does not have roll-over protection • Construction equipment or vehicles will not be moved on grade oraccess roadways unless the access roadway or grade is constructed and maintained to accommodate the safe movement of such equipment • Access ramps and/or beams will be constructed to control runaway vehicles and/or equipment • All earthmoving equipment with a maximum speed of 15mph shall be equipped with fenders on all wheels • Earthmoving equipment manufactured prior to July 15, 2019 will have a protectiveframe meeting standard J334a of the Society of Automotive Engineers • All bidirectional machines or equipment (rollers, compacters, front-end loaders, or similar) will be equipped with a horn or audible alarm that is distinguishable from the surrounding noise level and will be utilized when the machine is moving in either direction • Horns will be maintained in operable conditions • All scissor points on front-end loaders that constitute a hazard during normal operation will be guarded • Equipment with an obstructed rear view will not be operated in reverse unless the equipment has a reverse signal audible alarm that that is distinguishable from the surrounding noise level • All equipment will be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications
